Korean dramas are very popular all over the world. Definitely in Asian countries K-dramas are more popular that other parts of the world for obvious reasons. Other that countries like China, Japan, Philippines, non Asian counties like USA, some European countries also serve as a big market for the industry.

No need to say that with the ever increasing popularity of these dramas comes great amount of money. The actors in this industry are highly rewarded for their popularity and the viewers they bring in just because of their name.

I was really very surprised to see the the paychecks these guys take home for an episode. I think I was being modest in my consideration of the acclaim of this industry.
